Medical Scientist Basic Grade or Senior - The Coombe Hospital, Dublin
Cpl Healthcare, in partnership with the HSE, is seeking a CORU-registered Medical Scientist (Basic Grade or Senior) for the National Cervical Screening Lab located at The Coombe Hospital, Dublin.
Lab:
HPV (no experience required)
Hours:
35-hour week, Monday - Friday
Job Responsibilities:
Perform duties to the highest professional standards as determined by the NCSL management team, supporting clinical needs and aligning with the hospital's mission and values.
Maintain strict confidentiality regarding patient and hospital information.
Delegate tasks appropriately to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Collaborate with the Consultant Head of Department, Department Chief Medical Scientist, Lab Manager, and other senior staff to introduce new ideas and methods in accordance with hospital policy.
Participate in the registration, custody, and stock management of laboratory reagents and materials.
Follow policies related to laboratory record-keeping.
Handle activities related to the receipt, analysis, and reporting of laboratory specimens.
Ensure all laboratory equipment is functioning correctly, investigate malfunctions, and coordinate repairs.
Comply fully with infection control procedures.
