The Position
We are seeking an auditor with a minimum of three years' internal audit / SOC 1 / ISAE 3402 SOC 2 audit experience in auditing to join our Third-Party Assurance audit team.
As an experienced member of the team, this person will have the opportunity to support the planning and delivery of a range of SOC 1/ ISAE 3402 assignments, primarily within the financial services sector.
The team specialises in planning and performing SOC 1, ISAE 3402 and SOC 2 audits.
Our Third-Party Assurance team currently has six FTE, four of whom are dedicated to SOC 1, ISAE 3402 / SOC 2.

Candidates should have advanced accounting, technical, communication, multitasking and client relationship skills for this role.
Significant experience in auditing manual and automated controls within the financial services industry is required for this role.
We are not seeking candidate who's experience is limited to external audit.
Candidates must have: Proven experience in auditing business processes and transaction-level controls within financial services or similar industries, with a focus on financial reporting risks, either in the context of SOC 1 / ISAE 3402 engagements or internal audits.
A foundational understanding of technology and technical concepts is required, particularly where business and IT knowledge intersect.
Experience in auditing IT General Controls (ITGCs) that support key business processes is highly desirable.
Auditing experience in a financial institution (Fund administration, Pension Admin, Asset Management etc.)
or similar professional experience in performing ISAE 3402/ SOC 1 or Internal audits.
Knowledge of ISAE 3402/ SOC 1 standards with an emphasis on testing requirements, auditing in financial services, and basic accounting principles
Proven experience in evaluating the design and operating effectiveness of business controls and processes, focused on financial reporting risks and controls.
Experience in identifying and assessing risks within business processes and controls, specifically around how transactions are initiated, authorised, processed and reported.
Ideal Candidate
Excellent oral and written communication skills
A qualification in accountancy or similar professional certification qualification (e.g., CPA, CIA) along with demonstrated technical abilities in select areas (e.g., accounting, regulatory compliance, etc.)
At least 3 years' experience in a professional services firm
Be capable of identifying improvement opportunities, generating ideas and implementing solutions.
Be an enthusiastic self-starter that has excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify and analyse problems, propose potential improvements to clients.
Be capable of identifying new areas of learning and using newly gained knowledge or skills on the job.
Can set own high standards of performance and delivering desired results.
Experience of working to deadlines and delivering under pressure
