Reporting to the Third Party Risk Manager, the Third Party Risk Associate is a key role in the Third Party risk team, with responsibility for third party risk management policies and procedures within the Bank, overseeing the implementation of third party risk programs for use within the Bank; ensuring successful implementation and coordination of assigned program activities and promoting effective change management activity. The role holder may also contribute to new business, service or product implementation from a third party risk perspective; undertake program enhancements supported by training, along with remediation work arising from continuous improvement and/or regulatory activity.

• Implement and continuously develop designated Third Party Risk program activities from a SLOD perspective, including drafting policy, framework and supporting procedures.
• Ensure policies are in line with regulatory expectations, local legislation and market-specific requirements.
• Facilitate timely regulation or legislation-driven reviews as required.
• Challenge and oversee the First Line of Defence (FLOD) implementation of policy and programme, providing training and awareness sessions and ongoing support as necessary.
• Execute SLOD roles and responsibilities as defined in policy.
• Participate in regulatory change management (RCM) projects and manage change programs within the function to support continuous improvement.
• Actively support stakeholder management, including identifying and engaging relevant stakeholders.
• Manage projects and milestones, delivering within agreed timeframes and stakeholder expectations.
• Escalate significant issues to the management team in a timely manner and implement associated action plans.
• Produce and present detailed, accurate reporting for inclusion in senior committees and governance structures.
• Ensure appropriate quality assurance for individual reports.

• Ability to assess complex data sets and provide meaningful insights that drive action to reduce risk.
• Adept at creating reporting and presentations that simplify diverse and complex themes.
• Ability to manage competing demands in a complex regulatory environment.
• Strong internal and external stakeholder management, with sound communication, negotiating and influencing skills.
• Independent, self-starter with customer focus, able to motivate others to deliver program enhancements, projects and BAU deliverables.
• Proven track record in drafting policies and procedures and facilitating their implementation.
• Ability to implement change, delivering projects or workstreams within a dynamic business environment.

Preferred experience includes:

• Minimum 3-5 years relevant risk experience with significant risk exposure.
• Strong proficiency with Excel (advanced level).
• Project leadership experience.
• Track record in developing, drafting and implementing risk policy, procedures and tools in financial services.
• Experience in managing second line oversight and testing programs, or sub-elements.
• Experience in risk reporting to senior committees (e.g., Board), preferably in multi-geo, multi-line organizations.
