Parkhouse Family Practice is currently seeking experienced & enthusiastic applicants for the role of Medical Secretary/Receptionist (Part Time) with an immediate start.The schedule for this position is predominantly 9-5pm, however some earlier starts and later finishes maybe required to necessitate the needs of the business.The role of medical secretary reports directly to the Practice Manager.This exciting role provides support to the Practice Doctors and Nurses along with providing excellent care & exemplary customer service to our patients.Responsibilities include but are not limited to;Managing the patient appointment scheduleTelephone, email and face to face communication with patientsPoint of contact with HSE & third party suppliersInvoicing patients and reconciling accountsHSE/GMS & other State Contract claimingScanning and management of correspondence for patient filesManaging & maintaining confidential patient informationProviding administrative support to GP'sTaking payments and end of day cash reconciliationDealing with correspondence and general queries from patientsCompletion of formsGeneral office administration including typing, filing, scanning etc.CDM administrationManaging complaintsEssential criteriaMinimum of 6 months experience working as a receptionist in a GP Practice is essential, non experienced candidates will not be considered.Professional & self motivatedExcellent written/verbal communication & interpersonal skillsExceptional telephone manner & customer service skillsPunctual & reliableIT proficient - familiar with MS suite including Excel/Word.Ability to work under pressure & multitask in a busy working environmentAttention to detailProblem solving abilityAbility to work in a team environment and also use initiativeComprehension of email etiquette & GDPR regulationsFluent spoken & written EnglishTeam player who is flexible and supportiveExcellent organisational abilityDesirable criteriaHealth One practice management software experience is desirable but not essentialKnowledge of medical terminologyFavorable salary commensurate with experience.Please email your CV & cover letter toJob Types: Part-time, PermanentPay: €*****-€***** per hourBenefits:Additional leaveBike to work schemeOn-site parkingLanguage:English (required)Work authorisation:Ireland (required)Work Location: In person
