Pat Loftus Construction is seeking to appoint a Senior Estimator to lead on key pursuits in the area of Building and Civil Engineering projects.The role will be suited to an experienced QS or other construction professional with relevant experience in the successful estimation and/or commercial management of building projects.Duties / Responsibilities Include:Oversee the preperation accurate estimates for key building projects.Review tender drawings and documents to determine the scope of works and tender deliverablesProject manage the tender process from initial review through bid preparation to submissionMaintain accurate records, trackers, and databases to support estimating activities.Liaise with internal teams and external suppliers to obtain quotations and technical information.Schedule meetings, prepare reports, and ensure deadlines are consistently met.Support the smooth running of the pre-construction function while building your knowledge of estimating and bid management.Manage enquiry schedules for suppliers and subcontractors required from the tender documentation, drawings and specifications issued.Evaluate returned quotations from suppliers and where necessary enter correspondence with suppliers to bring quotations in line with the project specification requirements.Prepare commercial documents for tender handover to projects team.Qualifications & SkillsDegree qualified Quantity Surveyor or EngineerProven estimating experience - minimum 3 years' experience in similar rolesPrevious exposure to building projects including public works contractsExperience with software such as CostX and CCS Candy an advantageFirst Principles estimating experienceGood communication skillsLeadership skills.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: €80,******-€100,****** per yearBenefits:Company carCompany pensionOn-site parkingSick payWork from homeExperience:Construction estimating: 3 years (required)Work Location: In person
