Senior Quantity Surveyor We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a reputable building contractor delivering a variety of projects in the Galway region.This is a key position within the commercial team, offering an excellent opportunity for a driven professional to manage all cost and contractual aspects of construction projects from tender through to final account.The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will play a central role in ensuring value, cost control, and commercial success across multiple sites.Key Responsibilities: Manage all commercial aspects of projects, from tender through to final account.Prepare and issue subcontractor packages, review tender returns, and manage procurement.Monitor project budgets, cash flow, and cost forecasts to ensure financial control.Conduct valuations, assess variations, and produce monthly cost value reconciliations (CVRs).Collaborate with project managers, site teams, and clients to resolve commercial issues.Maintain and update Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and contract documentation.Carry out regular site visits and cost reviews to ensure accurate reporting and value delivery.Requirements: Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related field.Minimum of 2 years experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a building contractor in Ireland or the UK.Strong knowledge of construction contracts and commercial processes.Excellent communication and negotiation skills.Proficient in MS Office and estimating software.Based in the Galway region or willing to relocate.Eligible to work in Ireland.Package: Salary: €70,000 €80,000 Excellent benefits package Long-term role with clear career progression Career progression opportunities for a motivated Senior Quantity Surveyor If you're a Senior Quantity Surveyor looking for your next career move in Galway, please send your CV or contact Amy Maguire for a confidential conversation.GPC will never send your CV to a client without your full consent.GPC is a specialist construction recruitment consultancy with over 27 years of experience working with professionals across Ireland and internationally.Skills: Senior Quantity Surveyor
