Senior Quantity Surveyor Job description: Job Title: Quantity Surveyor Company: KRE Construction Location: Office-based with nationwide site travel (Ireland-wide coverage) Reports to: Managing Director About KRE Construction: KRE Construction is a leading construction company delivering high-quality residential, commercial, and civil engineering projects across Ireland.We are committed to excellence, innovation, and client satisfaction, with a strong focus on safety and sustainability.Role Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team.The role is office-based with regular site visits throughout Ireland.You will support the commercial function on a range of construction projects, working closely with senior QS staff and project managers to ensure accurate cost control, efficient procurement, and financial reporting.Key Responsibilities: Preparation of cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documentation Support the measurement and valuation of works on-site Attend site meetings and liaise with site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers Assist in procurement, including obtaining and comparing subcontractor quotes Track project variations, record keeping, and change control Support the preparation of interim applications for payment and final accounts Assist in cost reporting and commercial forecasting Ensure compliance with company procedures and contract terms Conduct regular site visits across Ireland to monitor progress and verify valuations Maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders Requirements: Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or related field 5 years' relevant experience 2 years relevant experience with the same company Willingness to travel to project sites across Ireland Strong numerical, analytical, and organizational skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Proficiency in MS Office and quantity surveying software (e.g., Cubit, CostX, or similar) Full clean driving licence What We Offer: Competitive salary and benefits package Mentorship and career development with experienced QS professionals Exposure to a variety of projects and sectors Opportunity to grow within a dynamic and expanding company Travel expenses and allowances for site work Job Type: Full-time Benefits: Free or subsidised travel Application question(s): Do you have 5 years recent relevant experience?(Deal breaker)Have you worked for the same company for a period over 2 years?(Deal breaker)Work authorisation: Applicants MUST be located in Ireland *with relevant visa or work authorisation to work in Ireland* prior to application.Work Location: On the road (a current drivers license is required)
