Your new company You will be working for a well-established construction company on a prestigious project in Galway. The company is a top 30 Irish Main Building Contractor.Due to the continued development and expansion, the company is actively seeking to hire a Junior or Intermediate level Quantity Surveyor for their team. You will have the opportunity to develop and bring added value to your career and gain additional skills with a BIM-enabled contractor, truly developing skills in this area. You will be working with a company that has won several awards, and you will be working on contracts ranging up to €60m in various sectors, including Commercial, Industrial, Retail, Education, Leisure & Hospitality, Health, etc. The company is dedicated to sustaining its reputation for quality and excellence in the construction industry. Requirements of Quantity Surveyor:Third level Degree in Construction Economics or Quantity Surveying or similarMinimum of 2+ years Quantity Surveying experienceMinimum 2+ years experience with a Main ContractorAbility to QS / price projects / deal with interim payments / valuations / negotiation with subcontractors / agree final accountsKnowledge of varying Irish Forms of Contracts and Contract Procedures and ProtocolCompetent in all forms of surveying packages; Microsoft Excel, Buildsoft, etc.. (strongly computer-literate – Cubit an advantage)Strong communication and interpersonal skills dealing with design team / client/ meetings etc.Previous experience working on high-quality medium - large-scale public and private contracts in various sectors: - Industrial / Health / Pharma / Commercial / Education.Skills:Contractually and commercially astuteExcellent written and spoken communication skillsEffective Team PlayerKnowledge of Buildsoft Global Estimating/Cubit/Excel/WordAttention to detail is a must.Ability to work on their own initiativeExcellent remuneration and benefits on offer to the successful applicant.
