When you choose to work with us, you'll find a group of professionals who are passionate about anticipating changes, solving problems and working together to make it all happen.We are global private markets specialistsdelivering tailored investment solutions,advisory services, and impactful, data driveninsights to the world's investors.Leveraging the power of our platform andour peerless intelligence across sectors,strategies, and geographies, we helpidentify the advantages and the answersour clients need to succeed.The Vice President of StepStone Private Debt – Core Operations / Fund Accounting in Dublin will be responsible managing a team within the Private Debt Fund Accounting team for the Firm's private market / alternative investment managed portfolios.The Vice President will work closely with the Department's senior leadership as well as other departments (e.g. SPAR, Research, IR, Business Development) where necessary to provide support to the Firm's global investment activities.A key focus of this role will be to ensure continual improvement of business services by reviewing current processes and procedures with the goal of maximizing efficiency and effectiveness.To excel in this role, you will enjoy working in a fast-paced team environment, have excellent people management skills and will be hands-on and detail-oriented in problem solving.Essential Job FunctionsCore TasksSenior Department resource for Fund Accounting for StepStone Private Debt productsManages team to ensure data consistency, completeness within the StepStone Private DebtManages direct reports and oversees outsourcing partners for dedicated fund accounting resourcesOversees the Fund Accounting processes and ensures sufficient control proceduresEstablishment of a KPI framework to lead the team and continuously improve such KPIsAbility to communicate with relevant stakeholders across the business but also outside the businessSupport the business in onboarding new mandates and make sure scalability of the business is achievedPromote a culture of high performance and continuous improvementAgree and set goals for the team and measure them on an ongoing basisEnsure succession plans and institutional memory are in place as needed to ensure uninterrupted service (documentation of unique processes/procedures, etc.)Ensure key deadlines are established, continuously strived for, and met on timeLead and effectively delegate resources to ad hoc projects, where necessaryTeam DevelopmentResponsible for day-to-day leadership of assigned team (i.e. Direct Reports).Work with Direct Reports to help manage day-today operations of the team.Actively develop, engage and mentor Direct Reports by offering challenging work, guidance, and increasing scope of responsibilities based on merit.Provide explanation and reinforcement of Department-wide communications, initiatives, and training objectives to Direct Reports.Encourage and promote skill development of team, objectively identifying strengths and weaknesses of individual Direct Reports and improving the effective operations of the team as a whole.As a senior stakeholder of the Department, the Director is held to the highest standard of respectful communication, which is instrumental in setting the tone for the rest of the Department team.Strategic LeadershipAbility to drive positive change and contribute multi-faceted leadership to the Department through utilization of unique knowledge, skills, and experience.Offer ideas for improving overall operations, efficiency, and value-added services for the Department.Based on depth of experience, possesses (or is expected to possess) resident/domain expertise on subject matters of importance to the Department and broader Firm.Work with senior management to implement Department-wide strategic initiatives amongst Direct Reports.Perform other duties as requested or as responsibilities dictate.Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:Possesses a bachelor's degree (Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business preferred)Minimum 10 years of relevant experience preferredWorking knowledge of financial accounting and demonstrated ability to learn new performance and portfolio reporting systemsStrong knowledge of Investment and Fund Management Industry and Operations with experience in Private Markets preferredGood technical understandingRequired Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesProven ability to lead projects and/or teamsProven ability to multi-task and manage priorities against key deadlinesProven ability to work with stakeholders across various departments within the organizationStrong verbal and written communication skillsHighly motivated individual with demonstrated initiative, independence and adaptabilityProblem solving skills and ability to oversee execution of accurate and high-quality finished productsStrong analytical skillsStrong work ethicOther AttributesFlexibility—StepStone is a dynamic and entrepreneurial organization;
