Customer Service Assistant

Job Title: Customer Service Assistant Department: Retail Reporting to: Shop Manager Location: Longford Role Purpose You will be responsible for providing an outstanding customer experience through a helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable approach.
Your daily tasks will include assisting the Shop Manager and team in the smooth running of the store, maintaining high standards, accepting and paying out bets, and delivering excellent customer service.
The role involves opening and closing the business, and occasionally managing shop operations.
Key Responsibilities Assist the Shop Manager and Assistant Manager with daily shop operations. Lead shop operations in the absence of the Shop and Assistant Manager, including:
Opening and closing the shop Managing and guiding the shop team Cash management procedures Occasionally manage the shop, providing development opportunities. Work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment while undertaking training to upskill and progress within the company. Provide outstanding customer service with a helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable approach. Accept bets accurately through multiple channels, including betting terminals and in-shop transactions via the EPOS System. Act as a Brand Ambassador, introducing customers to the multi-channel/digital journey. Work under pressure, remaining calm and seeking continuous improvement. Maintain high standards of shop presentation throughout your shift. Follow all safety, compliance, and shop procedures at all times. Work effectively within a team environment. Adhere to Social Responsibility duties. Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Essential Skills and Experience Customer service focused Operate with trust and integrity Flexibility to operate 7 days a week Adaptability to the shop environment Attention to detail and strong numeracy skills Enthusiastic, able to work independently and as part of a team Interest in the sporting industry/events and ability to build rapport with customers Ambitious and driven to progress within the company Results-oriented with a focus on promoting the company brand Excellent communication skills Problem-solving and creative thinking abilities Organized, reliable, and dependable Proven cash handling experience Desirable Skills and Experience Industry or retail experience is welcomed but not essential, as full training will be provided to expand knowledge of sports and betting.
