Position:Document Controller LeadLocation:CollinstownCompany DescriptionWe are a leading engineering services company with a proven track record of high-quality, client-focused project delivery for over 130 years.Our core divisions include Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Sprinkler and Fire Protection.Additional services include Waste to Energy (BioEnergy), Specialist Lift, Off-Site Fabrication, Technical Support Services, Maintenance, Asset Management, BIM (Building Information Modelling) and Geo-Surveying.We offer competitive salaries, financial support for further training, Continuous Professional Development (CPD) leading to chartered status, performance incentives, and the opportunity to progress your career with a world-class engineering contractor.Job DescriptionAs a Document Control Lead, you will oversee and coordinate all document control activities across a major construction project, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with company and client requirements.You will lead a team of document controllers and administrators, supporting project delivery teams and maintaining the highest standards of document management throughout the project lifecycle.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and supervise the document control function across project teams, ensuring efficient workflows and compliance with document control procedures.Manage and maintain document control systems and platforms (e.g., Asite, Aconex), ensuring correct setup, access control, and data integrity.Act as the main point of contact for all document control queries and interface with client representatives regarding documentation standards.Oversee the preparation, issuance, and tracking of all project documentation, including drawings, submittals, and transmittals.Develop and implement project-specific document control procedures and ensure adherence by all stakeholders.Provide training, guidance, and ongoing support to document control staff and project teams.Prepare and analyse document control reports, tracking key metrics and identifying areas for process improvement.Support onboarding/offboarding processes for project personnel and maintain accurate records of project documentation.Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary project teams including Construction, Engineering, and Quality to ensure smooth communication and documentation flow.Skills And RequirementsMinimum 5 years' experience in document control within the construction or engineering industry, including at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.Proficient in document control platforms such as Asite, Aconex, BIM360 or equivalent.Strong IT skills, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including formulae, linking, and data analysis) and other Office/Google tools.Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to train, mentor, and manage a small team.Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to prioritise under pressure.Strong understanding of project documentation standards and quality requirements within a construction environment.Knowledge of BIM workflows and ISO ***** standards is an advantage.Training on company-specific systems will be provided.BenefitsWe offer a competitive salary and benefits package commensurate with experience and qualifications.You will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic and supportive team, collaborating with industry leaders on large-scale international projects.We value work-life balance and support professional growth through continuous training and development initiatives.
