Manufacturing Automation Engineer. Our client is one of the largest suppliers of process technology for the Dairy, food and other industries. They are looking to recruit an Automation Engineer to join their team for the beverage, chemical, dairy, food or pharmaceutical industries. The Role: Working within the Automation Team reporting to Head of Automation Responsible for the development of FDSs and Control System hardware design based on client specification and process descriptions. Write, test and commission automation software On-site commissioning and validation Work alone and within multi-disciplinary teams Contribute to project meetings, internal and with customers and suppliers The Person Third level Degree in Technical or Engineering +2 years experience A background in project execution (Automation) for the beverage, chemical, dairy, food or pharmaceutical industries Familiarity with automation project execution including writing FDS, PLC and/or SCADA software writing, Validation (such as FATs, IQ, OQs, SATs.) and commissioning activities Ability to write PLC code for Siemens and/or Rockwell PLCs. Likewise ideally you are familiar with configuring SCADA systems such as Intouch, FTView, System platform, Win CC or Ignition You bring experience with various I/O systems and networks such as Profinet, Ethernet IP, Control net, Profibus etc. Experience in reading Process Descriptions and P&IDs Use effective communication and interpersonal skills, excellent written and spoken English. Capable of coordinating with third parties and end users Capable of working on own initiative, good schedule management Ability to live and travel to site for client meetings in the EU.
