We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented
Tax Manager
to join our finance team in the private equity backed sustainable plastic manufacturing sector operating in over 20 locations globally.
This role is pivotal in ensuring efficient compliance with all tax regulations, optimizing tax strategies, and supporting global business operations through effective tax planning.
You will bring a deep understanding of corporate tax, indirect taxes, and international tax matters relevant to a global manufacturing business.
This is a unique opportunity to work in the global headquarters and support the group tax strategy implementation.
You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive financial efficiency and compliance.
Manage and oversee all aspects of corporate tax compliance, including income tax, VAT, and other indirect taxes.
Pioneer automation strategies across the tax process.
Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the company's tax position while ensuring compliance with existing and emerging local and international tax laws.
Coordinate and prepare tax provisions and disclosures for financial statements in accordance with IFRS/GAAP.
Liaise with external tax advisors, auditors, and tax authorities as needed.
Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the business.
Support transfer pricing documentation and intercompany transactions.
Lead tax audits (proactive prevention) and manage any disputes or inquiries from tax authorities.
Provide tax advisory support for business initiatives, including mergers, acquisitions, and capital investments.
Collaborate with treasury, finance, legal, and operations teams to ensure tax-efficient business practices.
Train and mentor junior tax staff and promote continuous improvement in tax processes
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master's degree or professional qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA, CTA) will be advantageous
Minimum of 5–7 years of relevant tax experience, ideally with some time in both industry and an accounting firm.
Strong knowledge of corporate tax, VAT, and international tax regulations.
Experience with ERP systems and tax software (together with tax automation projects)
Proven track record of managing tax compliance and audits
