AXA Partners are looking for a positive and experienced Senior Business Analyst to join the Technical Finance & Regulatory Tribe within AXA Partners CLP IT team.You will join a team of diverse, skilled and experienced Business Analysts where the role requires a motivated individual who has a proven track record for delivering within an agile environment.
The Senior Business Analyst will collaborate with the Product Manager, Software Engineering Manager, Product Owner, Squads and IT technical teams to deliver on the Product backlog as determined by the Product vision & roadmap.
The role sits within CLP IT and reports to the Product Manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with the Product Manager, Software Engineering Manager, Product Owners, business and technical teams, both on site and off-shore, to translate high-level business requirements into detailed User Stories and detailed functional specifications
Liaise with the Product Owners, developers and testers in the Product Squad to ensure correct requirements, test and acceptance criteria
Act as scrum master during Agile Ceremonies with Product Owners and business stakeholders
Support change requirements through accurate impact analysis and change specifications
Support the Tribe & BA Community of Practice to help enhance business analysis processes
Assist the Product Owner in determining which business requirements can and should be automated and how they are then integrated with other business and technical processes
Manage wing to wing change process, including providing of support for the implementation of new/changed systems to ensure outputs are delivered to time and quality
Investigate and resolve user problems channelled via Helpdesk or equivalent in order to minimise disruption to Business activity including management of Level 3 production break fix resolution issues
Mentor other business analysts within the guild to pro-actively share knowledge, expertise and advice, providing knowledge transfer to IT groups
Participate in / Lead client workshops & meetings etc
Management of large business & IT changes for key strategic priorities over multiple Business entity's & Products
Cover / Step in for IT Product Manager where required – Liaise with Tribe Leader where applicable
Report outs/updates to Senior Management on key initiatives

Your Profile
KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
5+ years experience in Waterfall and /or Agile based development methodologies and experience in integrating with external/third party systems
Business Analysis Qualification and/or Scrum certification essential
Experience in working in an Agile environment.
Including running KANBAN & Scrum boards etc
Experience in business analysis in a financial services environment / Good knowledge of insurance business model and processes
Proven experience using BA Skills and techniques to elicit the required information and produce deliverables to tight deadlines
Strong negotiation skills: ability to find win – win solutions for both IT and business, as well as ability to challenge status quo and ensure best possible long term solution
Planning & Organisation: Effective time management to prioritise and manage own tasks and workload in a fast paced environment to provide a sustainable solution (first time right)
Analytical Thinking: ability to understand and analyse business requirements and needs of the Product Owner whilst also translating these needs and requirements into IT solutions (first time right)
Ability to work independently and take responsibility for delivery of customer requirements to ensure that the end user's requirements are met and a sustainable solution is provided
Accountability: taking initiative and ownership to ensure delivery and actively seeking results and resolutions to meet needs
