About Goodwins Build & DIY Products:Established in **** and 100% Irish-owned, Goodwins Build & DIY Products is an established name in building products and DIY retail.Operating from 2 large premises in Dublin region, we pride ourselves on stock availability, fair and competitive pricing and providing great customer service.We are now looking for the right person to join our talented and professional team.About the role:The Store Manager leads, coaches and manages and develops the team to obtain maximum store performance and ensure the long-term success of the business.Customer service and sales success is achieved by aligning team member efforts, store presentation and stock availability.Comply with all company standards, policies and procedures, managing day-to-day store activities.Set staffing numbers and rosters working with HR.Training and updating staff on new products, store policies, etc.Monitor store productivity, stock differences & write-offs, staff costs and operational costs.Monitor and ensure store appearance, proper presentation and merchandising of stock, displays, signage and labelling.Design and manage day-to-day and short-term projects around the store.Leading all aspects of health & safety in the store and promoting a positive safety culture among the team.Stay updated on market trends and competitor activities.Work closely with company's senior leadership team to address issues and meet company goals.About you:A background in hardware/builder providers trade counter and familiarity with goods-in/stock control is highly desirable.Demonstrated experience in retail management, and a deep understanding of retail operations.A deep commitment and enthusiasm to delivering exceptional service, prioritising customer needs.Organised and proactive in managing store tasks and challenges, with the flexibility to adapt to changing workloads.Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team, with a focus on coaching and fostering individual growth.A competitive spirit and drive to succeed, confident and persuasive communication skillsAbility to manage store operations effectively, including compliance with policies and proficient use of retail systems.Willingness to work a retail schedule which includes weekdays / Saturday.Benefits:We offer a competitive salary and benefitsBonus SchemePension schemeStaff discounts4 weeks holiday per annumBike to Work SchemeCV's / application toPlease note that as part of your application you will be asked to complete a numerical and verbal reasoning test, designed to provide us with a more in-depth understanding of your skills and your potential as a member of team.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentBenefits:Bike to work schemeEmployee discountOn-site parkingWork Location: In person
