Select Technology Group has 21 Apple stores throughout the UK and Ireland and DID Electrical is also part of our Group.What do you get from working at Select?Competitive wage - (will depend on experience)A growing love and passion for all things AppleFantastic Employee discountsEmployee IncentivesEmployee Assistance Programme (EAP)Cycle to Work SchemeRecognition of long serviceWe are looking for a Warehouse Operative to work as part of our warehouse and logistics team based in our Fonthill HQ, Dublin 22.You will assist with day-to-day stock management within the warehouse and to support the sales, retail, logistics and management teams.Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):Working in collaboration with department teams, stock administrator(s), retail & warehouse teams,on a daily basisWarehouse OperativeLoading and unloading delivery vehicles, by hand or with a forklift truck - mixed weightsChecking for damaged or missing items and then sorting stock for storage in the warehouseReceiving and processing warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store) checking againstpaperwork and using the warehouse management systems.Reporting of issues and discrepanciesPreparing and completing orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)Picking orders, packing (correctly and safely with adequate packaging) and completing transfers on the company system as well as arranging shipping and loading goods on to deliveryvehicles.Operating a forklift truck to move and rearrange stock and ensuring that products are stored safely and labelled correctly and safelyPerforming inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits.Stock checks and stock takes as requiredOther warehouse operations, as requiredGeneralFollowing quality service standards and complying with procedures, rules and regulationsKeeping a clean and safe working environment and optimising space utilization.Cleaning and maintaining the warehouse is part of the daily routine.Communicating and co-operating with supervisors and co-workersOperating and maintaining preventively warehouse vehicles and equipmentComply with company and legislative Environment, Health and Safety requirementsCompleting a limited number of deliveries to customers and stores (currently up to ten local deliveries per week, subject to change)Skills & Competencies RequiredAbility to prioritize and proactively manage workload, and solve problemsGood time management and organizational skillsExcellent attention to detail, with good communication skills2+ years' experience as a warehouse operativeAbility to lift heavy objectsUse of email is a requirement, knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Numbers a distinct advantageLeaving cert or equivalent level of education)Preferred Additional SkillsCurrent forklift licenceExperience with a Warehouse SystemWorking ConditionsWork in a warehouse environment.Manual handling required.Occasional travel between offices/locations may be required.Please submit a CV for this full-time position.IND1
