Customer Service/Sales Agent

N17 Superstores is a well-known, family-run retailer in the west of Ireland, successfully operating three electrical and furniture retail stores in Mayo and Galway over the past 25 years.As well as our three retail stores we also sell online via our website.Our business continues to grow and have opportunities for talented people to grow with our business.Do you want to feel appreciated and valued in your place of work?Do you want to contribute and be part of our growing team?We currently require a full time Customer Service Sales Agent to join our team in our head office in Milltown, Co.Galway (H54 E096).The role is well suited to applicants who have experience in either the hospitality or retail industry.The Role - Tasks involvedProvide excellent customer service by promptly addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and managing complaints in a professional and positive manner through phone, email, and in-person.Build and maintain customer relationships to ensure repeat business.Complaint Resolution -Handle customer complaints with patience and professionalism, investigating and resolving issues to the customer's satisfaction while demonstrating empathy, and maintaining a positive relationship with the customer.Identify when complex issues need to be escalated to appropriate departments or supervisors for further resolution.Communications - Liaise and communicate with suppliers/manufacturers to build strong relationships with the suppliers/ manufacturers so they can assist in resolving customer complaints and issues.Strong communication with other departments such as sales, purchasing and warehouse.Service Requests - Processing and logging service requests for reported faulty appliances via various electrical manufacturers.Logistics -Work with the logistics team making outbound calls to customers to co-ordinate and schedule deliveries.Communicate with the logistics team on this.Administration - Maintain detailed records of customer complaints and resolutions.Undertake all necessary administration work needed by the team.Process faulty goods to be returned to manufacturers in line with the company procedures.Sales - Liaise with the sales team by directing and managing sales calls and emails to convert the inquiries into successful sales.Process online sales promptly for dispatch with couriers.The Ideal Candidate - Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesStrong phone and verbal communication skills along with active listening to effectively interact with customer, team members and suppliers by both phone and email.Positive, optimistic and can-do attitude towards challenging items.Excellent problem-solving skills to quickly identify and resolve customer issues.Enjoy working with people.Familiarity with CRM systems and practices would be an advantage but is not essential.Ability to multi-task, set priorities and manage time effectively.Fluent English is required.Experience & QualificationsMinimum 3 years' experience in a similar customer service role is essential.Leaving cert or equivalent is required.What we offerCompetitive SalaryPension Scheme OptionGenerous employee discounts on electrical and furnitureSociable working hours hours per week (9 to 5 Monday to Friday)On-site free parking (and no traffic due to the location)Holiday allowance of 20 days plus bank holidaysThe opportunity to progress within a growing, dynamic Irish-owned and family-run retail store.If you are passionate about customer service , have excellent communication skills, and would enjoy working in a growing, dynamic family-run business, then we would love to hear from you.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: €28,******-€30,****** per yearBenefits:Bike to work schemeCompany pensionEmployee discountFlexitimeOn-site parkingAbility to commute/relocate:Milltown, CO.Galway H54 E096: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)Education:Leaving Certificate (required)Experience:customer service: 3 years (required)Language:English (required)Work Location: In personApplication deadline: 15/09/2025Reference ID: N17 ServiceExpected start date: 22/09/2025
