Senior Contract Manager

What you'll be doing
As a Senior Contract Manager this role supports sourcing categories for managing contracts life cycle management for India, International, US Team within agreed SLA and also ensures mitigation of operational & legal risks on supplier engagements within sourcing policies.
While this position will report to the Associate Director, it will also work closely with US Sourcing Managers and Contract Managers with regard to the performance of job responsibilities.
Contract Manager's primary responsibility is expertise in negotiation and administration of various complex contracts.
Able to manage all ad-hoc and ancillary legal documents.
Establish and maintain supplier relationships.
Monitor and complete contracts close-out, extension or renewal, as appropriate.
Provide contract-related issue resolution, both internally and externally.
Able to guide the CSE for contract execution.
As an expert you need to manage stakeholder engagement with US contract management directors, CSEs and business teams.
Specific responsibilities
:
Support and provide guidance on strategic sourcing projects – Prioritize sourcing projects within the region for resource planning by liaising regularly with key stakeholders.
Manage supplier contracts – Establish and maintain contractual and business relationships with the vendors; monitor contract compliance; solve operational issues with vendors (e.g., quality, delivery and service issues).
Support in implementing Verizon corporate policies, procedures, and programs.
Act as an advisor and/or expert to stakeholders and subordinate staff for elevated issues and problems.

You'll need to have:
A law degree, LLB, LLM, or BCL or equivalent
Telecom Network or IT experience
Experience in contract management or Category Sourcing
Demonstrated experience negotiating and managing agreements
Project management experience
Strong understanding of procurement contract clauses and principles
Strong understanding of procurement contract risks and how to mitigate those risks
Experience drafting Statements of Work (SOWs)
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
Excellent, concise drafting skills that avoid ambiguity and inaccuracy
Strong interpersonal and client-service skills
Self-starter with ability to work independently
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong issue resolution and negotiation skills
Strong project management skills
Ability to manage multiple concurrent deliverables in a very dynamic environment
Supply chain experience, ideally with technology, services, and infrastructure
Demonstrated experience negotiating and managing agreements with significant annual spend
Strong relationship building, influencing, and negotiation skills
Proven communication skills – both verbal and written

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.
