You will take ownership of your own categories and collaborate closely with the Merchandising and Buying leadership team, developing key communication and influencing skills along the way
Alongside your Merchandiser, you will plan and manage ranges that make our clients feel special every time, that are commercially competitive and that deliver on ANG's client proposition.
You will understand our Fields and Fraser Hart clients and use data and analytics to tailor ranges which will deliver for the different clients in both markets.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES Areas of Responsibility Commercial Awareness: Assist the Merchandiser in the delivery of the sales, stock turn and contribution budgetsDevelop a robust knowledge of the Fields and Fraser Hart client and use this knowledge to make recommendations and tailor the ranges.Strategy and Planning: Support the Merchandiser in building a commercial and strategic rangeHave awareness of the development of the range and option plansWork alongside the Merchandiser Administrative Assistant to ensure delivery of the day-to-day activity including reporting, stock management, line projections, sales, options, stock and repricingIdentify products for repricing, and make recommendations relating to this to the MerchandiserSupport the Merchandising Administrative Assistant with producing reports including strategy, sign-off and store range presentations / campaign packs.Check for accuracy and give feedback to support the Merchandiser Administrative Assistant's development.Responsible for updating and maintaining store grading to ensure all opportunities are maximised and any problems de-riskedReplenishment of agreement with RetailResponsible for communicating these quantities to Retail and objectivity assisting the Merchandiser on the production of planograms.Forecasting and Trading: Manage tools and reporting to review information and ensure that all aspects of strategic planning are met (including WSSIs, Line Projections, Option Planning and Budgeting)Product Knowledge: Develop a deep, broad knowledge of the Fields and Fraser Hart Jewellery, Diamond and Branded product areasAssist the Merchandiser in considering factors such as historical products and competitor analysis when building rangesAlways seek to drive innovation and use insights to identify future trends and act on these quickly and be decisive in product selectionsWith your Merchandiser stay commercially aware and use your knowledge of client behaviour to continuously seek to offer outstanding products to our clientKey Attributes Thrives on new opportunities and challenges, in a fast-paced environmentA credible and confident communicator with effective and persuasive presentation skillsA collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal/communication skills, while demonstrating high levels of emotional intelligence and possess the ability to push back with professionalismProven ability in developing effective working relationships across all levels of the companyExcellent planning and organisation skills, ability to multi-task, plan and prioritise work schedule and work within agreed timescalesOperates with a high level of integrity, diplomacy, tact and professionalismSound judgement, unquestionable ethics and integrity with high degree of transparency and trustYou will be a skilled influencer, and a strong relationship builder with a proven record of managing stakeholders cross functionally.Experience Required 3 years' experience in a merchandising, analytical or finance-related role with experience equivalent to Assistant Merchandiser level.Relevant qualification in a retail, analytical or commerce-related subject, or equivalent experienceStrategic thinker, with strong numerical acumen and the ability to identify commercial opportunitiesExcellent communication, engagement and presentation skillsFields are an equal opportunities employer INDFH1INDFL1Flexibility and Adaptability is required in this role as the responsibilities outlined in this document are not exhaustive and are subject to evolve and change depending on the needs of the business.
