process of altering existing manufacturing systems to improve efficiency, product quality, and safety, often by designing and implementing new processes, equipment, and technologies.You will ensure that changes to production lines, materials, and processes are well-managed and don't disrupt goals such as yield, product quality, or adherence to regulations.This role requires strong problem-solving, mechanical, design, and IT skills, along with in-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and continuous improvement techniques.This role also requires strong interpersonal skills to interact with multiple departments within the organisation.Main Tasks And ResponsibilitiesSafety & QualityContinuously improve the application of 6S, Kaizen, going to Gemba to increase safety and performanceDevelop Standard Operating Procedures within the A.I's that encompass safe working practicesPromote Leader Standard Work systems of audit and daily management to sustain improvements in safetyProcess improvement skills including the use of 'Lean' tools to drive increased manufacturing Quality performanceDevelop daily improvement processes through Lean Daily Management StructuresMove the company towards digital instructions and move away from paper based processes.EngineeringWorking with the Design Engineering Process change owner to ensure the best effectivity dates are achieved to limit obsolete stockWorking with the sourcing team to update and maintain the use of PFEP (Plan For Every Part) to establish inventory amounts, locations and replenishmentsEstablish processes that utilise the use of JIT (Just In Time) reducing work in progress throughout the enterpriseResponsible for the implementation of Engineering Change Orders or New Product Development into the manufacturing environment, including new part configuration and set-up, management of open production orders, manufacturing routing and master data management and assembly instruction updates.ProductivityAnalysis, modelling and simulation of production based big data from sensors and devices to support development on our Manufacturing Excellence Systems (MES)Use of digital devices (e.g. tablets, smartphones, smartwatches) for production monitoring and controlContinuously work with the site leadership and value stream managers to analyse data to establish opportunities for improvementDeliveryReview delivery performance with the Value Stream Managers and Site Leadership to identify and deliver improvement using continuous improvement toolsUses the kaizen events to continually improve delivery performance with tangible resultsActing on engineering change orders in a timely fashion ensuring the changes are implemented with zero impact to productionMonitor data integrity within our ERP system, actively looking for errors and amending any setup errors.PeoplePromotes a Continuous Learning environment through development and delivery of all intellectual propertyPromote a culture of employee engagement with the use of Kaizen to engage teamsBring to life each day our HIAB values and demonstrate these behaviors in his / her.What You'll Need To SucceedEducationQualified to degree level BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical fieldLean SixSigma Green Belt or equivalent.Experience1-2 years of experience of dealing with Engineering Change orders within a manufacturing and operations team.A strong software engineering background and a proven track record of deliveringKnowledge and understanding of Mechanical, Electrics/Electronics, Assembly work, Hydraulics, Assembly Instructions and Safe working practicesAbility to work on own initiative, to come up with solutions and problem solveAbility to Review Mechanical and Technical Drawings to support engineeringAgility and personal adaptability with the ability to successfully manage multiple priorities with a high sense of urgency in a rapidly changing environmentExperience in using ERP systems.Eg LN, SAPSome Experience with CAD would be beneficial but not 100% necessary.CompetenciesStrong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team and to work across multi departmental teamsThe ability to lead by example and effectively coaches and mentors while demanding, and receiving, exceptional commitment and outstanding resultsDemonstrated understanding & application of Lean principles using Lean Six Sigma Tools, support Value Stream Mapping, Just-In-Time, Change control processes.Ability to prioritize,
