Medforce is proud to partner with a leading Primary Care team in Galway to recruit
Staff Grade
and
Senior Grade Psychologists
for their Child Services division.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a lasting impact in the lives of children and families while working as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.
About the Role:
You will work within a supportive Primary Care environment providing psychological assessments and therapeutic interventions to children with a wide range of emotional, behavioural, and developmental needs.
Key Responsibilities of the Psychologist:
Deliver high-quality psychological assessments and evidence-based interventions
Support children with emotional, social, and developmental difficulties
Collaborate closely with families, schools, and other professionals
Participate in team meetings, care planning, and service development
(Senior Role) Provide clinical supervision and mentoring to junior staff
(Senior Role) Lead on service improvement and quality initiatives
Requirements for the Psychologist:
Staff Grade:
A recognised postgraduate qualification in Clinical, Counselling, or Educational Psychology
CORU registration (or eligible)
Experience working with children in a clinical or educational setting
Strong communication and organisational skills
Senior Grade:
Minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience (must include paediatric experience)
Experience in leading service development or quality improvement initiatives
Proven skills in supervision, complex case management, and MDT collaboration
