MMT (Medical Manufacturing Technologies) is a global leader of medical device manufacturing solutions.MMT Automation specialises in designing and building bespoke, reliable, complete solutions which automate highly complex production processes.Through deep client collaboration, they support customers on their automation journey as they transition to smart methods of manufacturing that ultimately drive productivity and business efficiencies.We provide end-to-end automation and integration solutions to the medical device industry.Senior Automation Engineer (Controls)Overview of RoleJoin a well-established and expanding multi-disciplinary engineering team delivering high-performance automated equipment solutions from concept through to full implementation.This is a senior technical leadership role, responsible for defining and delivering advanced control system architecture, driving innovation, and ensuring excellence in automation design and implementation across complex medical device projects.You will serve as the company's leading expert in machine control systems, providing strategic technical direction, mentorship, and oversight to ensure the highest standards of design, reliability, and complianceMain TasksLead the design and integration of advanced control system software for automated machines, including PLCs, Robotics, Motion, HMI, SCADA, and Vision systemsDefine software architecture and best practices for automation projects, ensuring scalability and compliance with industry standardsDevelop, test, commission, and support machine control software for new and existing equipmentProvide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to Controls Engineers and other team membersCollaborate cross-functionally within multi-disciplinary project teams throughout the entire project life cycleSpecify and evaluate control system components, ensuring robust design and supply chain alignmentSupport the Technical Writer in producing validation documentation for regulated industries (URS, FDS, FAT, etc.)Lead problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives across automation projectsContribute to strategic technical roadmaps and emerging technology evaluations for automation systeExperiencence8+ years of experience in Equipment Automation, with deep expertise in PLC and HMI programming (preferably Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation)Proven leadership experience in the design and delivery of complex automated machine systemsExpert knowledge of control system architecture, specification, and developmentStrong experience with robotics, motion control, machine vision, and pneumatic systemsExperience within a regulated industry (medical device or pharmaceutical) highly advantageRequirementsentsExcellent communication and leadership skillsStrategic and proactive approach with a passion for innovationStrong organisational and project management abilitiesA quality-focused mindset with excellent analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work effectively in a multifunctional, collaborative environmentFull driving licence and ability to travel occasion#J-*****-Ljbffr
