West solved the problem of supplying penicillin in mass quantities to the US Government during World War 2.Through our work to deliver thousands of life-saving and life-enhancing injectable medicines to millions of patients daily, West's indelible mark on the healthcare industry has just begun.A name started our story.How will yours help write our future?There's no better place to join an inclusive community of professionals with opportunities for lifelong learning, growth and development.Supported by benefit programs, we empower the physical, mental, emotional and financial health of our team members and their families.We believe in giving back to help those in need in the communities where we live and work.And are equally committed to creating a healthier environment and planet through our sustainability efforts.This position is a hybrid role (3 days onsite) in DublinJob SummaryIn this role, the Manager Product Supply Planning has end-to-end accountability, managing the mid-to-long-term planning horizon for global supply of a set of products across a global network of manufacturing sites to ensure excellent customer service.This role is the owner for the global supply of these products and is a key partner to Commercial, Demand Planning and Operations ensuring supply chain performance.As the key point of contact for a strategic product family, the role will be leader in a global SIOP process, oversees exception management to inventory, capacity, and cost, and presenting end to end analysis and options to drive approval of the plan.The Manager, Product Supply Planning will be instrumental in building and maintaining relationships with Commercial, Product Platform and Demand Planning teams as well as Operations Supply Planning teams.This role will be a critical link between Commercial and Operations leading & facilitating discussions and initiatives for their product(s).Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPartner to Commercial, Product Management, Demand Planning and translates strategic supply plans into operational supply plans across a global network of manufacturing sites.Execute inventory strategies/models for complex global supply chain networks (make stock, make to finish, make to order), gain alignment and implements recommendations.Ensure execution of stocking and planning levels for the network and in alignment with financial goals.Establishes product supply across the global network for product(s) within policy guidance and considering life cycle management, technical transfers, network optimizations and potential supply disruptions.Identify and recommend future customer pathways for product mfg.Drive manufacturing sites regarding necessary adjustments to productions plans to accommodate any forecast changes and assure inventory alignment to strategies; develop measurement systems to track performance.Partners with relevant functions to develop risk/contingency strategies and plans for the supply chain network.Drives mitigation plans.Supports large-scale global crisis, supply disruption and/or allocation & monitors volumes, partner with Supply Execution team as appropriate.Supports Commercial with strategic information for customer interactions.Support assessment of new business, sites, etc. and ensure the integration and transition of new products resulting from acquisition as appropriate.Participates in developing supply agreements for customers, [to ensure alignment of agreements to delivery feasibility].Key leader in the SIOP process who articulates the supply plan and network performance for endorsement, driving decisions via end-to-end analysis and scenario planning.Supports new product launches & other life-cycle programs such as cost reduction initiatives, network optimization and/or complexity reduction, technical transfers, site and/or sourcing selection.Assures phased production plans as appropriate and manages inventory conversionsSupports business process improvement strategies and/or initiatives across the supply chain network in coordination with Center of Excellence (CoE)Supports the Strategic Plan and Budget Plan development and communication with stakeholdersEnsures available capacity for their scope of products both long and mid-term.Other duties as assigned.EducationBachelor's degree with preference for Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance or relevant experienceWork ExperienceMinimum 8-10 years of supply chain experience; preference for global supply planning and or site manufacturing experiencePreferred Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesExperience with LRP/Strategic Planning, Budgeting, New Product IntroductionSolid understanding of supply planning principles and demonstrated ability to implement process and manage change.ERP system knowledge with strong linkage of financial, material and supply flows.Experience in pharmaceuticals, medical devices or other regulated industryStrong capability to manage through influence and across functionsStrong leadership and strategic thinking, global mindset;
