Job Location: DublinByrne Actuaries is an Irish owned consultancy based in Sandyford, Dublin 18 that has provided quality independent advice for over 30 years.Our business is based on a culture which aims to provide all of our clients with a high quality professional service through strong personal relationships.Our team of long established professionals provide a wealth of experience, independent pro-active advice on complex issues and most importantly a personalised service tailored specifically for our clients' needs.We are currently recruiting for a Trainee Investment Consultant and Financial Advisor to join our team.Applications are invited from experienced candidates and from recent graduates in the areas of Maths, Finance, Business and Investment who have a strong desire to pursue a career as an Investment Consultant and Financial Advisor.The Role:As a Trainee Investment Consultant and Financial Advisor you will form a key part of our team and will provide advice to both corporate and individual clients.Your role will involve:Preparing client deliverablesManaging client relationships and leading in the provision of investment strategy, fund research and manager selectionContributing to the delivery of the day to day services required by our clientsPreparing performance monitoring reports for clients, including commentary which are presentable to the clientMeeting clients and providing solutions to their requirements, ensuring adherence to compliance regulations and standardsSupporting new business initiativesWorking with our team of experienced Actuaries and Investment Consultants to develop systems and processes to improve overall efficiencyMaintaining up-to-date knowledge of market practice and legislationYou will also be required to provide assistance to our Actuaries in our Expert Witness PracticeRequirements:Bachelor's degree in a numerate / economic areaStrong team orientation and interpersonal skillsExcellent presentation and communication skillsWell organised and detail orientedExcellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in ExcelPart or fully completed QFA qualification would be an advantageExperience of work in a financial planning consultancy, pension consultancy or insurance brokerage would be an added advantageFurther Education:The successful candidate is expected to study to become a Qualified Financial Advisor (QFA) and (or) a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).A comprehensive study package will be provided.Your application should include the following:Cover letter outlining how you fit the job description aboveTranscripts of your university results in each subject for each semester to dateTranscript of your leaving cert (or equivalent) results#J-*****-Ljbffr
