Summary
The Production Manager's responsibilities are to oversee the entire Production process and smooth running of the Galway site operational needs.
The Production Manager must ensure that all targets are met within specified timelines, product and customer quality standards and also Company budgetary requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities
Direct and control the Supervisors and Operators of the department to ensure that they are appropriately trained, motivated and carry out their responsibilities to the required standard.
Oversee all operating processes to ensure that the most efficient and effective use is made of plant equipment and that Health and Safety standards are adhered to.
Ensure customer orders are prepared within appropriate timescales and are ready for collection at the necessary times.
Prepare and monitor budgets to ensure that the optimum use is made of production resources.
Monitor output to ensure that Production meets the established customer quality and ensure ongoing monitoring of these requirements.
Maintain regular contact with other departments to ensure that they are aware of Production requirements and to identify potential problems.
Provide advice and support to other to other Departments on Production issues.
Working with the maintenance team, plan, introduce and monitor maintenance and work schedules to ensure that machine downtime is kept to a minimum.
Working with the QA Manager, apply all legal, regulatory and food safety requirements to the business.
Ensure all site audits/ visit non-conformances are closed out co-ordinating with the quality team and other departments.
Strive to maintain the highest product process standards and ensure all products are produced to the highest standard.
Maintain an awareness of new developments in production processes and propose modifications to plant and equipment so that the Company makes the best use of technological developments in its sector.
Maintain an effective working relationship with senior management team to ensure that there is effective coordination of all company activities in support of corporate objectives.
Act as the Companies main advisor on all issues in relation to Production matters.
Carry out any other reasonable instruction from management.
