Our valued client is a reputable professional services firm in Ireland that has set ambitious growth targets.
The company boasts a workforce of over 600 professionals, spread across Dublin, Galway, and Limerick.
With a globally integrated partnership, the firm operates in over 95 countries and territories, leveraging the experience and knowledge of a team of over 47,000 experts to deliver exceptional service to clients of varying sizes at every phase of their growth journey.
We are seeking a competent Audit Senior who is a qualified professional to join the client's Audit & Assurance Department.
The position promises promising prospects for career progression while working alongside a diverse portfolio of prestigious institutions.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate with their international peers on cross-border assignments and foster a close working relationship with their senior management team and partners.
Furthermore, they will be an integral part of the continued growth and improvement of their audit division.
Key Responsibilities will include:
Responsibility for a portfolio of audit clients
Work closely with the senior management team in maintaining and developing client relationships
Planning of audit assignments, transition from previous auditors and onboarding of new clients, design and implementation of audit strategy, staffing
Coordination/lead of the execution of the strategy at the audit fieldwork stage ensuring efficient and high-quality delivery of audit services
Compliance with the client's audit methodology, with appropriate consideration of audit risk issues and accounting technical matters
Work to deadlines and within budgets
Advising on financial reporting and other technical report matters
Involvement in firm/department development and marketing and recruitment initiatives
Contribution to learning & development and coaching of other less experienced staff
Participation in the delivery of internal training courses
About you:
Qualified accountant with financial services audit experience in a Big 4/Top 10 practice environment
Technical proficiency in IFRS and FRS 102
Fluent English with excellent oral and written communication skills
Experience of operational supervision of assignments and managing of client relationships
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational and project management capabilities
Ability to provide guidance and feedback to others
