Description:
This position is for a product applications engineer who will be part of the Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) group.
Products in this strategy include integrated high speed Pin Electronics and Digital Power Supplies targeted towards automated test equipment applications.
There is an exciting roadmap of new products planned and the product applications engineer will be part of a growing team responsible for ATE products from concept and definition through production, release, and sustaining.
The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual and fast learner with strong technical, analytical and communication skills.
The candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with an experienced development team.
Responsibilities
Assist in ATE high speed design-in successes for released products and products under development.
Manage relationships with customers during their design-in phase.
This will involve gaining an understanding of the customer\'s application and providing innovative, practical, and timely solutions to customer challenges
Help develop evaluation hardware and debug programs.
Develop ATE product datasheets and evaluation board user guide with software as needed.
Creation and production of design-in tools and collateral, including demo systems and technical literature such as user guides, application notes, reference designs, design notes, technical articles and FAQs.
Develop and participate in online and in-person training activities for customers, field application engineers, sales engineers and distributors.
Actively participate in the ADI EZone forum to support ATE high speed and precision signal chains customer questions.
Develop system level signal chain understanding in ATE systems.
Help develop and validate product simulation models (IBIS, LTSPICE, Matlab, etc.).
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent qualification with at least 2-3 years' experience.
Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering is preferred.
Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and ability to interact with customers and internal teams.
Experience with analog circuits and associated hardware; experience with power management ICs, PLLs, high speed Serdes or FPGAs is beneficial.
Experience with ATE products including pin drivers, parametric measurement units (PPMU) and device power supplies (DPS) from a design or usage perspective is desirable.
PCB schematic entry and layout design experience, preferably in Cadence ALLEGRO.
Experience using SPICE circuit simulators (e.g., LTSPICE) is an advantage.
Familiarity with common electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, frequency generators, AWGs, VNAs, spectrum analyzers).
Experience with high-level programming languages (e.g., Python, C#, Matlab).
Willingness to travel occasionally (as required).
