eCommerce Administrator Role Overview: We are excited to announce an opportunity to join the Eason & Dubray online team as an eCommerce Administrator. In this role, you will be pivotal in ensuring our websites deliver a top-notch shopping experience for both new and existing customers. You will play a key part in enhancing our eCommerce capabilities, contributing to the development of our online presence, and creating content that drives sales and boosts customer engagement. You will be joining a collaborative team of eCommerce professionals with expertise across various areas, providing a fantastic opportunity to learn from others and grow your skills. This role reports into the Content and Merchandising Manager. Role Synopsis: As an eCommerce Administrator, your primary responsibility will be to optimise our online sales platforms by managing product information, handling product uploads, maintaining category data, improving search functionality, merchandising products and categories, creating engaging content, and performing sales analysis and reporting. The ideal candidate will support the delivery of fresh and engaging content to our website, including new product launches and custom landing pages. You will craft detailed product descriptions and visuals that enhance Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and provide a superior customer experience. By utilising Google Analytics and other data sources, you will extract actionable insights and offer data-driven recommendations. Your role will also include analysing onsite search terms and sales trends to identify new sales opportunities and strategically merchandise product offerings. Additionally, you will be involved in testing new website features, monitoring site performance, and ensuring a seamless user experience. Key Responsibilities: Product Information Management: Create, update, and manage product listings on our eCommerce sales channels - and Ensure accurate product descriptions, images, pricing, and stock levels. Product Uploads: Manage the uploading of new products to the eCommerce platform, ensuring all details, images, and pricing are correct and aligned with brand standards. Maintenance of Category Data: Regularly update and maintain product categories to ensure easy navigation and searchability on the website. Review and adjust category structures as needed to reflect current trends. Search Optimisation: Implement strategies to improve internal search functionality, including keyword optimisation and tagging, to ensure customers can easily find products. Product and Category Merchandising: Develop and execute merchandising strategies that drive sales and enhance the online shopping experience. Manage product placements, featured products, and category promotions. Content Creation: Assist in creating compelling product descriptions, category banners, and other marketing content. Collaborate with the marketing team to align content with promotional activities and brand messaging. Sales Analysis and Reporting: Generate and analyse sales reports to monitor performance metrics, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. Provide insights and recommendations to improve sales and customer engagement. Promotions and Marketing: Assist in the execution of online marketing campaigns, including discounts, promotions, and special offers. Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure promotional content is accurately represented online. Website Maintenance: Monitor website performance, ensuring all features and functions are operating correctly. Support the wider online team with testing of new features and to troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues. Key Skills and Qualifications: Experience: 1 years relevant work experience, preferably in eCommerce or Retail. Technical Skills: Experience in using eCommerce platforms, content management systems (CMS) and inventory management software. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse sales data and customer behaviour to inform business decisions. Strong excel skills and experience of using Google Analytics an advantage. Attention to Detail: High degree of accuracy in managing product listings, inventory, and orders. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong customer service orientation. Problem-Solving: Ability to handle and resolve customer issues and technical problems efficiently. Organisational Skills: Strong time management skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. SEO Knowledge: Understanding of SEO principles and best practices. Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with other team members and departments. Dynamic: Energetic, enthusiastic, and able to respond effectively within a fast-moving environment Preferred Qualifications: Degree or diploma in relevant area (preferably Communications, Marketing, Digital or eCommerce) or relevant work experience. Experience with digital marketing and social media platforms is desirable. Knowledge of HTML, CSS, or other web development languages advantageous.
