
Graduate Automation Engineer Apprenticeship Program

We offer you a unique opportunity to join our RME team, where you can apply your academic knowledge and continue learning as part of a team of first-class professionals.
Throughout this program, you will develop technical skills and competencies through a structured training itinerary.
Besides technical problem-solving, you will enhance planning, prioritization, analytical, communication skills, and teamwork.
We support your development in both technical and interpersonal areas.
A mentor from the Automation Engineer Team (AE Team) will guide you to succeed.
You will undergo over 300 hours of theoretical and practical training with external providers in subjects such as: electrical and electronic systems (e.g., EPLAN, panel wiring), automation and robotics (e.g., PLC programming, Python, SQL basics), project management, and communication.
Upon completion, you will be qualified for an Automation Engineer role within our maintenance teams.
During the apprenticeship, you will work on-site with the AE Team, responsible for control systems and sensors within the building.
Your responsibilities include monitoring, fault finding, and repairing systems to ensure high equipment availability; training technicians in control systems fault finding; collaborating within the EU Controls network to monitor Material Handling Equipment (MHE) metrics; participating in or leading continuous improvement projects; and working with IT and engineering teams to maintain documentation and backup libraries.
This role involves working in non-traditional shifts, including nights and weekends.
The position does not offer remote work and is available in Piedmont, Lombardy, and Veneto regions.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
You are between 18 and 29 years old.
You hold or will obtain a bachelor's degree in Automation Engineering before the program starts.
You speak Italian fluently and have good communication skills (written and verbal).
You can communicate in English at Level B2 or higher.
You can understand and follow verbal or written technical instructions.
You are passionate about Automation and Engineering and eager to start a career in this field.
You are motivated, proactive, and eager to learn and develop.
You have basic knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel).
You are team-oriented and easily build relationships.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in electrical engineering or related fields.
Project management experience.
Software development experience.
