We are seeking an enthusiastic and energeticGeneral Operativeto join our Warehouse Team on a full-time basis at Barry Group as part of our Despatch Team.The position will be 39 hours per week and will be based in Mallow, Co.Cork, at Barry Group Head Quarters.The shift pattern for the role is - Sundays 10am to 6pm, Monday to Thursday *****pm to 10pm, including bank holidays.Role PurposeThe role requires you to load goods/stock in a manner that will improve the company's efficiency and result in outstanding customer service.The work involves handling stock through the supply chain, from goods inwards, replenishing and merchandising, order picking, wrapping stock and loading for delivery.All employees in the warehouse have responsibility for implementing and maintaining the rules, regulations and policies as defined by the Company on an ongoing basis.General Duties & ResponsibilitiesOperate a motorised truck.Ensure that product is loaded correctly to meet order and Customer requirements.Ensure that the picked pallets/combies are built in a stable manner to meet customer specifications, to avoid damage in transit and allow optimum truck loading.Assist in the overall operation of the warehouse.Ensure all quality, hygiene and health & safety policies are adhered to including manual handling practices.Comply with all health & safety procedures.Be aware of HACCP requirements and ensure that they are fulfilled (cleaning policy).Carry out the Company's waste management policy.Assist in any ad-hoc duties where necessary.RequirementsFunctional, hands-on experience in Warehouse Operations.An understanding of Supply Chain functions.Experience working in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication skills.A strong focus on quality customer service.Be capable of working well on your own as well as part of the warehouse team.Be flexible in availability.Desirable QualificationsValid Power Pallet Certificate.Valid Forklift Certificate; Counterbalance and Reach.Valid Manual Handling Certification.The Benefits Of Working With Barry GroupDiscounted Goods.In-house Mental Health First Aiders and additional Wellbeing Programs including Cycle to Work Scheme.CSR Activities.Future Planning with our Pension Plan.Competitive Salary.Professional Development Opportunities.Barry Group is an Equal Opportunities Employer
