A DiplomaorBA (Ord) Degree in Social Care Practice (Level 7orhigher on the Quality & Qualifications Ireland (QQI) framework)ORAn equivalent social care qualification recognised by CORU's Social Care Workers Registration Board.ANDWhere registration has not yet been received from CORU, applicants must demonstrate evidence of application.Permission to work in IrelandMinimum 12 months experience in a healthcare or disability settingAn understanding of theory and practice in the delivery of individualised supports to people living in their own homeAn understanding of therapeutic approaches relevant to meet the needs of peopleSufficient awareness of policy, legislative and professional requirements to ensure an appropriate standard of service deliveryA Full Clean Driver's LicenceExcellent report writing and organisational skillsDisplay a good working knowledge of HIQA regulations and standardsEffective interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skillsSuccessful Applicants should be able to demonstrate the following:The ability to manage self in a busy working environment including the ability to prioritise workloadsFlexibility and openness to changeThe ability to resolve conflict and empower people with sometimes quite divergent points of viewThe ability to evaluate information and make effective decisions in a timely mannerA willingness to develop IT skills relevant to the roleKnowledge of Person-Centred PlanningDemonstrate initiative, good interpersonal and teamwork skillsAnnual Registration(i) On appointment, practitioners must have obtained registration on CORU's Social Care Workers Register.AND(ii) Practitioners must confirm annual registration with CORU to the HSE by way of the annual Patient Safety Assurance Certificate (PSAC).Informal enquiries may be made to Michael Costello, Regional Manager on ************.Completed applications must be returned no later thanSunday 26th October ****.N.B.
