Accountant, Qualified Accountant with both strong financial and management accounting skills and a commercial mind, required by fast growing client with operations in Ireland, UK & North America.
Based in their Head Office Waterford, the company is now seeking an experienced Accountant who is keen to grow their experience further to join its busy finance team.
Reporting to both the Financial Controller and the Finance Director, The overall purpose of this role Is that this person will play a leading and important role in providing finance support across three divisions in the Group.
These divisions are experiencing rapid growth, and this is an exciting opportunity to gain wide ranging finance experience and commercial exposure.
Role and responsibilities Preparation of monthly management accounts Supporting monthly management accounts with detailed margin analysis, along with detailed profitability analysis for a number of divisions within the Group.
Develop a full understanding of the commercial and financial characteristics of the businesses for which you are responsible and provide insightful guidance to the management team.
Assist in the assessment of various ad hoc projects on an ongoing basis.
This will include new investments opportunities and potential markets and commercial opportunities.
Contribute to the continued development of the control and reporting structures & systems in the relevant divisions.
The Candidate ACA, ACCA, ACMA Qualified Accountant essential Minimum 4 years experience in accounts preparation including a min of 2 years industry experience.
Experience in the preparation of detailed monthly accounts reporting pack.
Excellent attention to detail with proven problem-solving and analytical abilities Organised approach to work and driven to meet deadlines.
Comfortable and confident communicator, able to effectively interact and cooperate with all levels of the organisation.
Strong IT skills, particularly MS-Excel and a modern accounting/ERP system .
