Job Description:
Turner & Townsend is currently recruiting for a Cost Manager within our Real Estate team to work with a variety of clients and across a number of iconic projects in Dublin.
You'll have a real desire and commitment to understand how the builders of the past put together their buildings, and what that means to modern contractors.
You'll be working with leading conservators, architects, and engineers to ensure the client and contractor deliver the best value for money, advising on the best solutions from a qualitative and commercial perspective.
We're looking for individuals with a keen interest in construction, from a Main Contracting or PQS background, possessing an outgoing and collaborative approach to guide contractors and clients through iconic projects.
Key Responsibilities
Assisting on feasibility studies and procurement reports
Estimating and cost planning, producing and presenting final cost plans
Tendering and procurement, managing pre-qualification stages
Managing post-contract cost variances and change control processes
Performing cost checks and valuations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Producing monthly post-contract cost reports for clients
Contributing to value engineering
Negotiating and finalizing accounts
Interfacing with clients and consultants at all project stages
Qualifications
Proven experience in delivering high-quality cost management or quantity surveying services
Professional qualification (RICS or similar) preferred
Degree or HNC qualification
