Overview
The Executive Solicitor role is with Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council in the Legal Services Department.
The department provides advisory services to the Leadership Team across four key areas: Advisory, Property and Conveyancing, Litigation and dispute resolution.
The County Law Agent and Solicitors advise client departments and manage the department's work.
Responsibilities
Assigned to a team of solicitors for a specific body of work under the management of the County Law Agent and the Senior Solicitor.
Manage and conduct legal files allocated to them; secure instructions, advise client departments on legal issues, instruct counsel, conduct legal proceedings and manage legal transactions.
Participate in team meetings, perform routine administration of allocated files, and comply with office policies and procedures.
Assist client departments with developing policies and procedures to ensure legal robustness.
Work proactively, manage files with initiative, and deliver value for money in the delivery of legal services.
