Profile of the Role: The Environmental Compliance Specialist will be part of a team that will implement the requirements/conditions set out in the site's IED (Industrial Emissions) License, Greenhouse Gas Permit and other Environmental Programs.Description of Duties: Provide Technical Assistance for the site's environmental programs, including air emissions, wastewater discharges, soil and groundwater management, surface water management, waste management, and environmental noise controlEnsure that the company adheres to both local and Corporate environmental standardsAct as the Point of Contact for environmental complianceHelp create a positive culture for environmental performanceFacilitate the implementation of various environmental programs across the siteAssist in implementing the conditions set out in the site's new IED Licence and Greenhouse Gas Permit and as part of that support the site's environmental sampling and monitoring requirementsBe a resource to all areas in helping them understand the regulatory requirements of their areas and programs.
Work with them in implementing solutions that comply with these regulations and programsParticipate in Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) improvement projects for optimization, simplification and streamline of EHS processes related to Environmental ProgramsCompiling Environmental reporting for both regulatory and corporate requirementsContinuously stay up to date with new environmental regulationsDeliver Instructor Lead Training for environmental coursesExperience and Requirements: ·BSc or MSc in Environmental Science or similar ·4 years + experience working in the pharmaceutical industry essential
·Previous Experience working with an IED Licence would be an advantage
