Client Accountant | Capital Markets | DublinOur client is a leading organization in their industry and they are seeking a talented and experienced candidate to join their team.As a Client Accountant, you will be responsible for supporting more complex tasks in the daily bookkeeping procedures.You will be responsible for posting transactions in the accounting system which do not require senior level supervision, and you will review drafts prepared by assistants and administrators, suggesting amendments as required.You will be required to prepare management accounts, financial statements, and filings (like CBI and tax filings) under the review and supervision of your team's supervisor and/or manager.What's On Offer —21 days of annual leave plus an additional day per year until it reaches 25 days2 additional leave days per year (Good Friday and an extra TMF day at Christmas time)Health insuranceDeath in service benefit of 4x salaryDiscounted gym membership through FLYEfit and tax saver commuter ticketsStudy assistanceStudy leaveMain Responsibilities —Ensure the timely completeness and accuracy of the accounting records using the appropriate functionalities of the mandated systemsPrepare primary accounting documents, accounting statements, and reports required by the client including management accounts (periodic and annual) and roll-forward financial statements (IFRS and Irish GAAP)Meet the indicated deadlines for each allocated clientPrepare all compliance related filings (like CBI and tax filings)Execute primary documents in accordance with accounting for fixed assets, inventory items, settlements with customersMaintain day-to-day contact for clients under the guidance of the team's supervisor/managerBook all journal entries and accounting documents into the general ledger for allocated clients (depreciation, prepayments, re-evaluations)Review accounting entries processed by assistants & administrators, and process other entries such as accruals, depreciation, re-valuation, and any other needed for a complete financial closureAssist in the maintenance of the chart of accounts, sub-ledger accounts, and other accounting application configurationsIdentify out-of-scope service and provide respective information to the team leader/managerMaintain contact with auditors, tax advisors, lawyers, notaries, and other involved parties to obtain the required information for reporting purposes and deal with queries and follow-upKeep up to date with changes in local accounting and tax legislationAbout you —Degree holder in Accountancy or business-related disciplinesCandidate with similar previous experience or Part Qualified AccountantResourceful, independent, and strong problem-solving abilitiesExcellent written and communication skills, with a strong ability to plan ahead and organise themselvesAnalytical structured mindset with the ability to follow and build upon existing processes and ensure data is maintained with accuracy and consistencyProficiency in MS Excel and MS Word is essential, with experience of local accounting system desirableSound like something that's of interest?Please send your details through the link below and we'll be in touch for a confidential discussion on the detailsAll applications will be treated in the strictest of confidenceCheck out our website – Patrick O'RourkeisaTax/Audit/Accountancy Recruitment Specialist, experienced in placing candidates from entry to Director level.For a confidential discussion around opportunities in the market, please contact me directly –T – ************#J-*****-Ljbffr
