We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team in Fidelity Institutional Technology (FIT).
You will work as part of a team building workflows and APIs to support the ongoing efforts to increase Fidelity's market share of Custom Separately Managed Accounts, which is a highly strategic initiative in our FI Wealth Management Technology area.
Our development teams are highly collaborative and encourage creativity, innovation, and excellence.
Your experience, skills, and input will be critical to our shared success.
We seek a highly motivated and collaborative individual who can apply their experience to contribute to the design and development of this platform alongside a team of talented and enthusiastic engineers.
Responsibilities
Contribute to the design and development of the platform, focusing on workflows and APIs to support Fidelity's strategic initiatives in FI Wealth Management Technology.
Collaborate with multiple teams to deliver high-quality software in an Agile environment.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
Advanced development experience building enterprise applications using Java, Spring/Spring Boot, Python, REST APIs, Swagger, Postgres, SQL
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS cloud deployment/application management is a plus
Experience building and deploying applications using continuous integration pipelines and automated deployment tools such as Jenkins/Jenkins Core
Experience using source control and pull requests in code repository tools such as GitHub
Experience with testing and test automation libraries/strategies such as Serenity, Cucumber is a plus
Experience working in an Agile Scrum development environment
Excellent interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills
Excellent collaboration skills to work with multiple teams in the organisation
Financial Services industry experience preferred but not essential
The Team
Fidelity Institutional Technology (FIT) supports our business partners to excel in their respective markets.
We craft, build, and maintain software, infrastructure and products within Fidelity's Institutional (FI) business units.
This includes the FI Managed Discretionary Solutions area, which focuses on building workflows and APIs to support Fidelity's market share initiatives.
As a member of this dynamic team, your role will focus on contributing to the design and development within FIT.
