Software Engineer

***Location:** For this role we are looking for the successful candidate to work on a hybrid basis from our office in Galway City, two to three days per week.*The Conversational AI team are helping drive major changes in Self and Assisted Services to deliver better outcomes, better experiences and lower costs. We are looking for a talented Software Engineer to join the Conversational AI team, and help build products and services to bring the benefits of this technology to Genesys customers.As an Engineer in the Conversational AI team, you will be designing and developing high quality software to deliver key features of the Product roadmaps. You will be working on tools and infrastructure challenges involving machine learning and software engineering to deliver AI powered conversational solutions. You will be joining a collaborative team of like-minded people who thrive on technical problem solving and relish design challenges.Working in anAgile team environment, our teams are full-stack, with capabilities to deliver full features across Front-End,Back-End, Eventing and Storage layers. Genesys Software Engineers think through implementation details of scale, security and usability.We write code inPython, JavaScriptand Java, and work with many technologies, includingDynamoDB,SQS, Kafka, Jenkins, GIT etc, all onAWS.**Key Responsibilities:** Your primary responsibilities will include designing, developing and maintaining the runtime engine for bots. You'll work collaboratively across teams to ensure seamless integration between frontend experiences and backend services, while maintaining high standards for code quality and system reliability.**Minimum Requirements:**2+years of experience in Software Engineering. Experience with Java for backend development and service architecture. Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systems Experience of developing REST API's using frameworks such as Spring Boot or Flask Rest X Experience of CI/CD processes and technologies. Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently when provided with relevant information **Desirable Skills:** Experience with Bot Platforms or Natural Language Understanding concepts and technologies.
