About UsProudly serving the Naas community for close to 20 years, we are seeking a Fresh Food Manager to join our teamNot your average deli and fresh food department, we're seeking someone who is comfortable operating at a high level, in a fast paced environment,We're under-going our biggest revamp yet, which will include the addition of Frank & Honest barista, upgrades to our existing Moo'd Ice-Cream department and a top of the line sit down area.You won't be alone, joining a General Management Team of four, you will work closely with the General and Assistant Managers to deliver on performance KPIs to grow the deli, coffee and ice-cream to the next levelThe ideal candidate will have previous experience working in Musgrave branded grocery retailers (Centra/Supervalu), is familiar with deli ordering (Fresh, Bakery, Packaging) back-office systems and has a keen attention to detail when it comes to the fresh food offering.Main purpose of the role:Our fresh food aisle is the most important in the store.Comprising of pre-pack fridges, bakery tables, ice cream, coffee, and our high traffic deli counters.As the Fresh Food Manager, you'll be responsible for it all.What does that mean?You'll oversee the day-to-day running of these areas.This is a hands on role, working with the daily department owners to ensure each area is filled and merchandised in an efficient manner.We also want to improve each area, no idea is a bad one and we're looking for someone who can think outside the box, identify what's working/what's not working and is willing to try new things/new products/ new layouts to improve sales and customer satisfaction.The ideal candidate will have the following:3+ years experience in a senior deli or kitchen roleis necessary.Keen attention to detail.Our customers pay a premium with us, so ensuring they receive a premium product and experience is important to us.Experience with bakery, hot food and pre-packaged food goods.Ice-cream parlour and/or barista experience is a bonus.HACCP training.We need someone who understands the importance of food safety and is always prepared for food safety auditors.Staff management, training and encouragement.We prefer a team leader who can encourage positivity while offering constructive feedback when needed.Upskilling existing staff and working efficiently to seize the day.Other responsibilities/nice to haves:Actively live Centra brand-values i.e. Proud, Energetic, Imaginative and Community-BasedMerchandise and present the fresh aisle to the highest standardAbility to develop and promote good communication between employees and management in a safe, respectful and inclusive environmentManage employee performance, giving regular feedback, recognition and encouragementDeal with all customer queries efficiently, professionally and consistent with store policiesEngage with new initiatives and embrace new ways of working.Don't fit every criteria?Apply anyway We're about employing the right people, not just a CV.Job Type: Full-timePay: €35,****** per yearExperience:Senior Deli/Kitchen: 3 years (required)Work Location: In person
