Ryanair is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Planning Engineer to join their Engineering Department.
You will work as part of a team responsible for planning scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Ryanair's fleet of over 550 Boeing 737-800 and 737-8200 and Airbus A320 aircraft across various engineering bases in Europe.
The successful candidate will be based at our Head Office in Airside Business Park, Swords.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for both experienced candidates and recent graduates to gain valuable industry insights and experience with Europe's leading airline.
The Role:Our Maintenance Planning team, based in the Ryanair Group Engineering Office in Swords, Dublin, reports to the Head of Planning and Planning Managers.
The team is divided into Line Maintenance and Base Maintenance, each led by a manager and two lead engineers.
All Maintenance Planning engineers interact with multiple Tech Services teams daily.
Typical responsibilities include:
Reviewing and planning daily engineering maintenance requirements, both scheduled and unscheduled.Collaborating with other engineering departments to ensure smooth operations.Creating spreadsheets for maintenance plans for European regional coordinators and overseeing fleet forecasts and statistics.Applying your skills and knowledge to improve planning processes.Assigning maintenance tasks to coordinators across the Ryanair network.Providing planning support to Ryanair's Maintenance and Operations Control Departments.Participating in daily meetings to discuss maintenance plan implementation.Performing other duties as directed by the Head of Planning or Planning Managers.Continuing your training within the Planning Department and liaising with station engineers, liaisons, and maintenance coordinators across Europe.Requirements:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Self-motivated and proactive.Proficient in Word and Excel; knowledge of AMOS, Netline, or Smartsheet is advantageous.Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Knowledge of aviation industry is an advantage.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Benefits:Discounted and unlimited travel to over 230 destinations.Defined Contribution Pension Scheme.Death in Service Benefit – up to 2 times the annual basic salary.20 days annual leave, increasing to 22 days after 12 months, and 25 days after 3 years of continuous service.Option for up to 5 additional unpaid leave days per year.
