Job Title: Sales & Finance Administrator

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Sales & Finance Administrator to support both our sales operations and finance team. This dual-role position is key to ensuring the smooth running of cash operations within our retail business while also providing financial administrative support to the Finance Business Partner. Strong Excel skills and an analytical mindset are essential to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Oversee daily cash operations, ensuring accurate reconciliation of sales and cash takings across multiple retail locations.
  2. Investigate and resolve discrepancies in sales and cash reports.
  3. Work closely with store managers to ensure cash handling policies are adhered to.
  4. Prepare and analyse daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports using Excel.
  5. Maintain and update records of payments, refunds, and discrepancies.
  6. Support the sales team with administrative tasks, including order processing and maintaining customer records.

Finance Administration

  1. Assist the Finance Business Partner with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  2. Process invoices, expenses, and purchase orders, accounts receivable ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  3. Reconcile accounts and assist with month-end and year-end financial processes.
  4. Prepare financial data for analysis and reporting.
  5. Support internal and external audits by maintaining accurate financial records.

Skills & Experience Required

  1. Proven experience in a finance or sales administration role, ideally within a retail environment.
  2. Experience with financial reconciliations and reporting.
  3. High attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  4. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Experience using financial or sales systems (e.g., SAP, Sage, or similar) is desirable but not essential.
