Global Procurement Director

Overview
Develop and lead long term sourcing strategy for Flavours and Seasonings for all PGCS locations that provide a competitive market advantage, in support of PepsiCo global food and beverage businesses
Lead development and execution of price risk management strategies to deliver predictable commodity costs
Partner & engage with senior stakeholders (GM, PGCS ELT, R&D) and Global Commodities and Global Categories to design and implement sourcing strategy for all categories in scope.
Manage executive level, cross functional priorities and relationships to deliver sustainable year on year benefits on Productivity and Cash Flow and accomplish function strategic objectives.
Develop internal capability and organization for Procurement.
Develop and implement strategies to deliver against PepsiCo Positive Sustainability Goals
Lead and drive results across a diverse team
Develop and foster strategic supplier relationships to unlock new value drivers to ensure sustained productivity & supply and expand innovation pipeline
Negotiate supplier agreements that align with the interests of the Company and also comply with Company policies
Responsibilities
Lead PGCS Flavours and Seasonings team to develop and execute advantaged long-term sourcing strategy / playbooks to deliver sustainable improvements in terms of cost, quality, service and innovation, in collaboration with Global Procurement Categories, Operations VPs and Directors, R&D, Quality and other relevant PGCS and global executives.
Understand key cost drivers, industry trends and best practices to design/implement the sourcing strategies for all categories in scope.
Develop and maintain long term pricing mechanisms to drive sustainable competitive advantage.
Lead PGCS conversations/alignment with Global teams to ensure best practices are leveraged and imported and exported from/to PGCS sector
Responsible of securing the materials supply for PGCS, assuring high quality standards, on-time deliveries, bench cost ingredients and food safety regulations
Work closely with Global Seasonings team
Manage project teams, working with analysts & managers to drive outcomes
Ensure productivity pipeline delivers targeted levels of annual net productivity and comply with function CF objectives by driving increase in payment terms across supply base.
Ensure all materials required are appropriately negotiated and all contracts are in place / managed & administered in accordance with Global Procurement Policies and KPI's.
Identify and deconstruct business issues and develop strategic, analytical, and financial frameworks to conduct analyses.
Lead supplier performance and contract compliance.
Develop and implement strategies to deliver against PepsiCo Positive Sustainability Goals.
Work closely with sector stakeholders to ensure deep understanding of functional needs and develop strategies to ensure maximum business value is generated from the procurement strategies.
Design/Implement organisation bench by increasing internal procurement capabilities and category expertise: recruit, coach, develop and promote talents to enable breakthrough ideas capturing from suppliers and ensure their implementation improve value for the Business, reduce Total Cost of Ownership and optimise cash flow (DICE)
Responsible for the development, execution and follow up of Risk Management initiatives aimed to reduce the supply risk (BCP), currency exposure and no sustainable supply practices.
Ensure full compliance with all Global Procurement Policies, Contracts, Bidding, SAP, Audits, etc.
Provide thought leadership to business partners, including the Executive Committee, and other operating leaders on a broad range of business-critical topics.
Demonstrate strong leadership and significant influence management skills with the ability to gain credibility with Sr Leadership while challenging the status quo.
Maintain an external mindset, including staying on top of consumer, competitive, and macroeconomic/geopolitical trends.
Qualifications
BA/BS in a relevant field such as Business, Finance, Engineering degree, Master preferred
Excellent Functional knowledge (6-8 years in leading Procurement roles): Depth of different aspects of Procurement such as sourcing, category management, processes and tools in a VUCA environment, preferably within Food & Beverage industry
Breath / Depth experience in sourcing processes and procurement best practices, with experience of implementing them in a global environment
Highly effective interpersonal skills – excellent negotiator and strong communication and influencing skills to all organizational levels and particularly at executive level.
Demonstrated ability to develop credible business relationships with Operations Directors, Procurement Directors, Supply Chain Managers and VP.
High level of business acumen
Solid/Strong understanding of general business economics and key quality and cost drivers
Strong analytical & financial skills
Organizational savvy
Ability to translate complex situations into executive level communication
Ability to lead and influence large teams based in different locations globally, whom not report directly to the position.
