Your Role in Shaping the Future
We are expanding our actuarial and risk management team in Ireland, where you will work closely with our experienced actuaries in Dublin, integrated with a broader network across Europe.
You will collaborate with our banking team to deliver cutting-edge projects in insurance risk management, valuation, and regulatory compliance, influencing the industry by helping clients navigate complex challenges and seize growth opportunities.
This role suits dynamic, ambitious professionals who thrive in collaborative environments, craft bespoke solutions, and aim to make a tangible impact.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Insurance Expertise:
Partner with clients on Solvency II/BMA EBS challenges, technical provisions, SCR calculations, internal model validation, and risk management initiatives including ERM frameworks, ORSA processes, recovery and resolution plans, and climate risk strategies.
Collaborate on investment portfolio optimisation and asset allocation aligned with risk profiles.
Regulatory Compliance:
Stay ahead of evolving regulations, interpret changes, and translate complex updates into actionable insights.
Client Engagement:
Build strong relationships, deliver tailored solutions, and serve as a trusted advisor aligning technical expertise with business goals.
Team Collaboration:
Promote knowledge-sharing, contribute to marketing and professional development, and ensure effective communication between technical and business teams.
Thought Leadership & Innovation:
Enhance Finalyse's presence through publications, conferences, and industry networking.
Lead development of innovative tools using Python, R, or other open-source technologies to deliver impactful client solutions.
WHAT YOU BRING
Experience:
Senior Consultant: minimum 6 years in life or non-life (re)insurance; Consultant: minimum 3 years relevant experience.
Experience in actuarial/risk teams, Solvency II expertise, programming skills (R, Python, SAS), and participation in professional actuarial bodies or networks in Ireland are highly valued.
Skills:
Excellent communication, presentation, analytical skills, and the ability to simplify complex topics.
Qualifications:
Senior Consultant: professional qualification (actuarial, risk management, etc.) with significant experience.
Consultant: near qualification or recent graduate.
Legal right to work in Ireland is mandatory.
