Press Tab to Move to Skip to Content LinkSelect how often (in days) to receive an alert:Select how often (in days) to receive an alert:Join the leader in entertainment innovation and help us design the future.At Dolby, science meets art, and high tech means more than computer code.As a member of the Dolby team, you'll see and hear the results of your work everywhere, from movie theaters to smartphones.We continue to revolutionize how people create, deliver, and enjoy entertainment worldwide.To do that, we need the absolute best talent.We're big enough to give you all the resources you need, and small enough so you can make a real difference and earn recognition for your work.We offer a collegial culture, challenging projects, and excellent compensation and benefits.For this high functioning team, the nature of the work benefits from frequent in-office presence, and employees may be expected to work from a company office up to four days per week.While we remain committed to flexibility, this team's rhythm includes regular in-person connection to support collaboration, learning, and impact.TheLegalDepartment provides core legal support to all Dolby functions, runs several IP-centric businesses, and leads government relations.SummaryThe successful candidate will be a self-starter and eager learner who is responsible for supporting Dolby's technology licensing program, product development, and technology services.The position interacts extensively with senior management and requires mature judgment and the ability to work effectively as a contributing member of the team with minimal direction.This position is based in Dolby's office in Dublin, Ireland.ResponsibilitiesSupport the standard technology licensing program of Dolby technologies and create licensing programs for new initiatives, which will include negotiating standard agreements and ability to escalate issues to the business or legal leadership as necessaryAdvise the company on the acquisition, development, and commercialization of third-party technologies and related intellectual property mattersCounsel senior management in connection with complex transactional matters associated with licensing and collaboration agreements, intellectual property licensing strategies and protection of intellectual property rightsNegotiate and draft complex technology transfer and business development, and intellectual property licensing agreementsWork with sales and marketing organizations within the Company to develop guidelines and agreement templates, negotiate program agreements, and develop and define program criteria and processesProvide guidance to sales teams as to legal workflows and processes, which includes working with contract administrators for contract execution and program set-upProvide information and training to internal groups as requiredParticipate in internal working groups or taskforces as legal representativeProvide such other corporate, licensing, and intellectual property management support as may be assigned by supervisorRequired QualificationsGood sense of humor and the ability to contribute to a collegial environmentLaw degree (or equivalent certificate) and qualified to practice in IrelandA minimum of 5 years legal experienceStrong writing and communication skills, to the degree necessary to enable the candidate to present ideas, opinions, and recommendations clearly, articulately, and with confidence to senior managementNegotiation skills and experienceSelf-initiative and ability to work with minimum supervisionSuperior organization and project management skillsDesirable QualificationsFluency in a foreign languageKnowledge of patent and competition law, experience with IP litigation, especially patent litigation, is a plus but not requiredFamiliarity with standards setting organizations and standards obligations is a plus but not requiredExperience with working in a distributed team structure across different geographical locationsDolby Hiring Entity:77 Sir John Rogerson's Quay, Block CGrand Canal DocklandsDublin D02 VK60Ireland#J-*****-Ljbffr
