Primary Responsibilities
Building and sustaining relationships with senior leadership, peers and cross-functional teams within the organization
Cultivating a strong leadership pipeline by identifying and developing high-potential talent
Aligning different stakeholders toward shared business outcomes
Strong presence in external networks, with the ability to manage relationships with external stakeholders, including government bodies, regulators and industry bodies
Building and leveraging relationships to foster trust and ensure business success
Managing complex, large-scale operations; adept at navigating cultural and technological challenges
Accountable for the strategic oversight and execution of new product development initiatives, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals, market demands and customer needs
Driving a culture of flexibility and adaptability in response to external challenges
Leading the organization through ambiguity and market changes without losing sight of strategic objectives
Navigating Regulatory and Political Environments; Managing complex regulatory landscapes
Experience of leading real-time strategic interventions managing profit and loss (P&L) responsibilities
This Role
Contributes to business growth by pulling levers on performance, government relations, branding and best-in-class employee engagement
Focuses on delivering value-added services, driving innovation and ensuring operational excellence in alignment with the organization's global strategy
Represents Optum externally, focusing on attraction, retention and development of talent; strengthens Optum as a leading health services and innovation company
Drives collaboration with functional enablers thus creating a distinctive value for the enterprise
Required Qualifications
Financial and Operational acumen
P&L management in a large, complex matrixed environment
Strategic Planning; ability to develop and execute long-term strategies that drive growth, scalability and transformation
Leadership in complex matrix organizations; global and local balance as well as cross functional leadership
Stakeholder (internal and external) and relationship management
