Overview
We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join our team for a Road project in Limerick.
Successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all personnel onsite, as well as compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations.
As our successful candidate you will be competent in the following areas:
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and implement EHS policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with local and national regulations.
Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety standards.
Lead investigations into any accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Liaise with project managers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure effective communication and implementation of safety measures.
Monitor and report on health and safety performance, ensuring continuous improvement in safety practices.
Keep up to date with the latest health and safety legislation and industry trends and advise management on necessary changes.
Qualifications and Experience:
A degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Previous experience in a Health and Safety role, particularly within the construction or civil engineering sector.
Knowledge of health and safety legislation and regulations in Ireland.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills.
Proficiency in Office/Office365 environment (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
