Overview

We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join our team for a Road project in Limerick. Successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all personnel onsite, as well as compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations.

As our successful candidate you will be competent in the following areas:

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee and implement EHS policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with local and national regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety standards.
- Lead investigations into any accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Liaise with project managers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure effective communication and implementation of safety measures.
- Monitor and report on health and safety performance, ensuring continuous improvement in safety practices.
- Keep up to date with the latest health and safety legislation and industry trends and advise management on necessary changes.

Qualifications and Experience:

- A degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a Health and Safety role, particularly within the construction or civil engineering sector.
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation and regulations in Ireland.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills.
- Proficiency in Office/Office365 environment (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
