Job Summary
This role reports to the Utilities Supervisor with a dotted line reporting to the project manager(s) and is responsible for the execution and management of planned and unplanned works using available resources.
These responsibilities primarily focus on the technical support of the Site's Capital Project portfolio.
Items of primary emphasis in the Capital Projects portfolio include:
Equipment Maintenance

• Execute permits, review Method Statements, LOTOs, Set To Works, MC walks, Panel testing & certification, Board Energisation as required under the Capital Project portfolio

• Participate in FATs, SATs, and CQV activities

• Ensure work is completed in a safe, compliant manner in accordance with applicable procedures, e.g., handover forms, LOTO, barriers, and signage

• Coordinate and manage contractors safely and efficiently, challenging underperforming contractors or project elements

• Coordinate small teams of technicians or vendors/contractors for assigned tasks

• Member of the Site Emergency Response Team (ERT)

• Attend business-critical meetings, project meetings, RCA's

• Maintain schedule attainment while communicating issues and expectations appropriately

• Interact with onsite IS & Automation systems, including Maximo, BMS & PCS, Onelook Permitting System, Drawing Management system, PME power quality monitoring system, and other onsite systems

• Ensure planned training for new equipment is delivered to the technician team

• Recommend and implement improvements to enhance mechanical or electrical maintenance aspects of the project.
Documentation

• Prepare compliant documentation as per SOPs

• Provide equipment updates, including problem statements, completed works, and planned works to site management and engineering

• Assist in creating training content and delivering training

• Contribute to SOPs, job plans, JHAs, and Maximo implementation
Experience needed / Qualifications / Key Competencies:

• Minimum qualifications: Time-served craft electrician

• Relevant experience in the portfolio project areas and biopharma installations is advantageous

• Experience with UPS systems, Diesel Generators, 10 KV switching is advantageous

• Proven track record of meeting targets and compliance adherence

• Ability to remain calm under pressure

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Logical thinking

• Continuous improvement mindset

• Self-starter

• Passion for success in the role

• Troubleshooting complex issues, prioritization

• Managing and training end users

• Supervising and collaborating with contractors

• Effective communication and collaboration with project, technical, and management staff
