Job Title: Engineering Professional for Gas & Utilities Sector

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced engineering professional to lead projects in our gas and utilities sectors. This includes supporting project delivery on gas infrastructure projects, including surveys of existing gas infrastructure and liaison with third parties.

The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in the gas, oil or similar process industries and will become a senior member of our Gas & Utilities team. They will be responsible for leading design teams, directing engineers and technicians in producing design reports and construction packs, as well as assessing design hazards per Health & Safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading design teams and directing engineers and technicians in producing design reports and construction packs
  • Contributing to project delivery, including surveys of existing gas infrastructure and liaison with third parties
  • Assessing design hazards per Health & Safety regulations
  • Producing/reviewing design calculations, drawings, and cost estimates
  • Providing technical advice to clients
  • Exploring innovation and sustainability in design
  • Progress reporting and client presentations

Requirements:

  • 3-10 years of post-graduate experience in energy or gas sectors
  • Experience in designing energy/utilities infrastructure; gas infrastructure experience in Ireland or elsewhere is an advantage
  • Knowledge of ATEX Regulations and design (IGEM/SR/25 experience is an advantage)
  • Valid driving license
  • Level 8 degree in Engineering
  • Chartered Engineer status or equivalent; candidates should seek this if not already achieved
