Finance Manager – FMCG (12-month contract)
Barden are delighted to be partnering with an FMCG client in Cork to identify a Finance Manager for a 12-month contract.
Reporting to a knowledgeable and personable CFO who is focused on developing people, this is an exciting opportunity for someone who may be re-entering the market or looking to take a step up in their career to Manager level.
This role will give you the opportunity to support end-to-end Finance activities while also partnering with the wider business adding a commercial lens to the role.
A key element of this opportunity is to help shape the finance function during a period of growth while providing additional insights to management to aid decision making.
Someone who is passionate about automation and optimisation could really excel in this environment.

ABOUT THE ROLE

• Preparation of monthly management accounts for the Group including monthly close.

• Develop and maintain a robust internal controls environment related to accounting and financial reporting systems, policies, controls, and procedures.

• Working Capital & Treasury – Management of cashflows, forecasting, inventory and FX risk.

• Weekly, monthly monitoring and reporting of business KPIs.

• Contribute towards Board reporting and presentations.

• Business expansion projects as the company enters new markets

• Oversee compliance obligations for statutory and taxation purposes.

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives, improving ERP and CRM output.

• Liaise with external advisors – legal, bankers, auditors etc.
ABOUT THE PERSON

• Qualified accountant with 5+ years PQE

• Experience working in a dynamic environment demonstrating excellent stakeholder engagement.

• Skilled technically with a commercial mindset

• Self-motivated with the ability to work own initiative

• Strong systems knowledge and appetite
